Liverpool laugh off transfer rumours

Liverpool have responded to suggestions on Wednesday that Mohamed Salah wants to leave Anfield in the summer transfer window.

The Egyptian star has built on his first season at the club, scoring 22 goals and assisting 10 so far in the current campaign.

His latest strike came in the thrilling encounter against Chelsea at the weekend.

Salah’s stunning goal sealed all three points for Liverpool and kept the Reds well and truly in the title race.

Though, there have now been suggestions he could leave the club in the coming summer.

The incredible reports surfaced on Wednesday afternoon, suggesting that Salah had asked to leave in the summer.

It was even suggested that the reasoning was a potential fall-out with Jurgen Klopp.

Now, Liverpool have responded to those suggestions.

Are reports wide of the mark?

Just prior to their clash with Porto, Liverpool have responded by laughing off those rumours.

The Mirror claim they ‘have been told they consider the story to be “laughable.”

That will come as no surprise after Salah’s agent spoke out on social media just following the rumours.

After AS reported that Salah wanted to leave, agent Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted ‘Talking out of their AS again I see.’

If that wasn’t conclusive enough, Liverpool laughing off suggestions that Salah wants to leave is enough to convince you the reports are wide of the mark.

Whether Salah does leave in the summer is another subject entirely, but for now, he looks to be happy at Anfield and will be looking for a trophy or two to show for his performances.
